Your binder will be checked at the end of each unit.
Each semester you will maintain an AP Binder containing material from the course of study. Everyone will be required to keep a binder. You will receive many handouts, readings and maps and you need to keep them organized!
Your binder should be divided into the following sections:
1. In plastic cover sheets you will have:
b. Unit Calendars- given to you at the start of each new unit and available on the website
c. This assignment sheet
d. PING assignment sheet
2. Divider #1: Maps and Map Activities
a. You should always record the date and the day's topic/lesson. See the examples below:
ex. September 5, 2014: Introduction to AP HUG
ex. October 14, 2014: Population-what is population density?
b. **I highly suggest that you color-code your notes. You should always highlight vocabulary, draw illustrations as needed, & highlight specific countries and places (in a separate color than vocab words).
c. You should also 3-hole punch and add any guided notes & reading guides I give you to this section
d. Divide each unit in your notes section using binder tabs (like these: Post-it Binder Tabs)
6. Divider #5: FRQ’s- all FRQ handouts, practice FRQ’s and graded FRQ’s as well as any rubrics and examples I give you.
7. Divider #6: Assessments: Projects/Quizzes/Tests- in this section you will keep the assessments that are returned to you.
Note: If I label an assignment as missing or mistakenly enter a grade and you do not have it to clear up the miscommunication, then the original grade stays.
